⚠bout writing errors... Because I know there are some, maybe more :D
I might misspell a word or do a grammatical error or what ever and I would like you to know that you are more than welcome to correct them. Usually I don't like when people correct other people even though they could totally understand the meaning. In this blog however you people have found your home :D Correct away! Or if you think something could be said better with a different word or a phrase just say so! You can comment anonymously if you like :D
I know I sometimes write spoken language but I will try do a text that is grammatically perfect every once in a while :) After all, I want to learn. 'till I have learnt absolutely everything there is (that being never) you're welcome to boast with your English skills! (Too bad there isn't a suitable translation for the word päteä. A serious minus in the English language.)

Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Wait what?
I survived! Today was my first day at work. To tell you the truth it was worse than I expected :D I had expected the work to be somewhat easy but IT WAS NOT. First I had to find the right folder for the right order and then process all the files in it. See that they fit on the page, select the right size for the paper, apply the corners, see that the files are in the right order, choose the number of copies and how they should be folded etc.............
Then comes the tricky part. Billing. The picture says it all. Why do they have to make it so complicated? Why??
Luckily I'm good with computers so the only thing slowing me down was the insane amount of new information swirling in my brain. And the cranky old copying machine.
In reality it says "Don't kick!" Kinda obvious but I guess there's good to be a reminder in case the machine goes on torment mode :D I hope we'll become friends eventually though. All the people were nice to me already :) My "mentor" found it amusing that all the numbers started swarming around in front of my eyes. I didn't but good for him :D
Hopefully tomorrow there won't be so many question marks over my head!

Mr Worldwide
I went to see Pitbull yesterday!! Not to meet him personally of course but on his gig in Helsinki :D Anni, Milla and I took the new Onnibus. "The cheapest way to travel!" The bus was certainly not new, the seats were a bit rough and the driver wasn't the best in the world either... He was an older man and quite sympathetic but he turned the wrong way two times and we had to circle back quite a bit in order to turn around. Fortunately we weren't that late. Besides, if something is cheap, you can't expect the top quality :D
Pitbull was... Well... Hips most certainly don't lie :D I don't think I've ever seen a man move like that. At times it was even a bit disturbing if you ask me :D Anyhow. The music was great and the atmosphere energetic. I got to scream and jump and ¡baila baila! All that I wanted :D
The highlight of the day was however queuing for the bathrooms. Ok, now you think that I'm just weird but waaait for it. Behind us in the line was standing Tale from the Finnish TV-series Salatut Elämät!! Ok, calling it the highlight was maybe a slight exaggeration. I watch the show only occasionally and I don't even know the guy's real name :D Still, it was quite peculiar.
Tomorrow's my first day at work. Feeling a bit nervous. Only a bit. I'll do just fine, I'm sure. Ok, now that I think of it. The fact that I have to assure myself isn't at all that reassuring... Maybe I should just go get some sleep before I overthink this even further :D I was home at 3am after the gig! So G'night and wish me luck!

Here we go...
This is the last summer before my graduation. Next spring I'm going to take my matriculation examination in Finnish and literature (my mother tongue), Swedish, Spanish and mathematics. And already this fall I'm going to take biology and English. Hence this blog. I need to practice my English. My goal is to study English at the university and maybe become a English teacher. Maybe. I don't really know yet. What I do know is that I want to go somewhere as an au pair for a year before continuing my studies. Somewhere.. My plans are real clear aren't they :D Guess I'll just have to see what life brings me. I'm not that big of a planner.
Anyway. This blog is supposed to be about my summer. Summer is my favourite season and not just because of the lovely weather. I love the fact that I don't have to go to school and I get to be spontanious. I can just wake up in the morning and then decide what to do that day.
This summer it's going to be a bit different though. I got my first summer job!! I've worked as a little kids' exercise instuctor during the school times before but never in the summer. I'm going to be working in an office where they print and copy stuff. Like a place where you can go have your invitations or flyers or posters done.
So I'm probably going to write a lot about my work days, how's my studying for the exams going and a bunch of other boring stuff :D As I said. This is to improve my English writing skills. But if you for some reason want to read my scribblings, there's going to be somewhat more interesting topics as well. After all, it's summer! Time of the unexpected events and unforgettable trips!
Peace,
Em
